What dental work does SSI cover?

What dental work on the teeth, does Social Security Suppliment offer?

What dental work does SSI cover?
None. That is why a lot of older, disabled, %26amp; lower income people also have Medicaid. That covers some dental work, but you'd have to check with your state to ask about specific coverage. For example, Iowa's Medicaid will cover cleanings %26amp; exams every 6 months. They will pay for amalgam restorations on posterior teeth (back teeth) and composite (tooth colored fillings) on anterior (front) teeth. They will not cover root canals, but cover non-precious metal crowns on anterior teeth. They pay for extractions. They pay for partials and dentures every 5 years.
