No money for dental work?
Check for a dental charity in your area
Reply:Well, if it's an emergency, almost any hospital MUST take you and fix it. You can then pay them later. Alternitavely, sometimes there are clinics that work on a sliding scale w/ payment arrangements that might work for you. Best of luck!
Reply:$20K??? Not to be rude, but if you need that much work, may I suggest going to an Affordable Denture type place? Unless, you have severe infection...then get the infection taken care of first and then get em yanked...

My ex bro in law had a similar issue. He had his pulled and new set of decent dentures for $3,500.
Reply:if you are in southern california there is a place called the DON SCHRODER clinic. it is a brand new building in Riverside, in Rubidoux. They have a program called ability to pay. If you bring a letter of support saying you are broke (from whoever you live with), They will do good dental work for a 30.00 copay. I just went last Monday and got two fillings in my front teeth, xrays and he did a good job, all for 30.00 bucks.
Reply:20,000.00 no way.Where did you get that amount from? In N.Y. (Albany) they have this health center that goes on a sliding fee scale that means you pay according to your income on what you can afford so try a heath center in your area.
Reply:Check around your local colleges to see if you can be a volunteer to get your work done. Here in Illinois, ICC has people volunteer that need dental work to better train the dental techs, and soon to be dentist. Usually they will do any and all work for free since you volunteered. It may be a shot in the dark, but it's worth a try.
Reply:There are some programs that may loan you the money for this. One is called Care Credit: http://www.carecredit.com/ - I did not qualify for this.

Another option is to see your dentist and ask to have the most important issues taken care of first, and one at a time. If you have insurance, it should cover some or most of the costs, but you will have to get the work done over a period of time.

If all else fails you can go to Mexico and have it done for real cheap: http://mexicolesstraveled.com/dentists.h...

Good luck and good health.
