I am in serious need of dental work & becoming desperate for pain relief--are there philanthropists who help?

I am 47, newly divorced, trying to get back into the work force after 15 yrs., and hopefully experiencing new relationships as time goes. I used to be remembered by my healthy %26amp; genuine smile...it has simply fallen apart over the years because I have lost or broken almost all of my teeth from my cuspids back in all four sects. I only have 1 upper/1 lower that can chew %26amp; they are chipping away...infections are severe %26amp; frequent, pain is regular. Just walking into a dentist's office costs me $1G every time...I can not afford this...how do I confidently present myself to employers, how can I have a relationship with another person if I cannot feel comfortable with the odor/germs from the death in my mouth?


Aren't there resources/dental pros who can assist someone like me? I would sooo appreciate serious info/open avenues...Thanks in advance.

Call your local Family Services office and ask if they have a local resource list with dentists who sometimes donate their time to help low income persons with their dental needs. In our city, for example, we have something called the Samaritan Center where dentists do this once a week at no cost to the public. You do have to show proof of income, however. It sounds like you need to have your remaining teeth pulled and be fitted for dentures. I hate to say this, but employers have a hard time hiring anyone with bad teeth. I guess it's because you are representing their company and it may hurt their business. Starting a relationship will also be a problem. You'd be better off with no teeth than bad teeth. Also, infections from bad teeth can sometimes injure your heart.
