How does a dentist work with dental technicans?
You consult with your dentist first about dentures or partials. They should have a list of different quality dentures, the higher the quality, the higher the price. Decide which is the best one for you. THey should then work you up a treatment plan with all of the work on it (if you have to have teeth pulled or bones trimmed or anything else), so that you can see what the total cost is going to be. If you are getting a full denture, the dr should help you select a shape and shade of tooth.

The dentist then takes an impression of your mouth and gets it to the lab. The lab makes a model of your mouth and it is then covered in wax and teeth added. Some drs do what is called a wax tryin, where you try the wax dentures in to make sure they are what you want and you like the look. Then send them back to the lab for any adjustments. it is then processed and made into a denture.

You try it in, and the dentist adjusts any sore spots, and you're on yer way. This can all be done in one day, in most cases. With otu the wax try in, anyway.
Reply:The dentist takes an impression %26amp; pours up models in stone gets a wax bite, checks the shade of any remaining teeth. If no teeth are left will do a try in if immediate denture can be processed first time if not after try in . Doc W
Reply:Some dentists have their own way to make them in their office or some send the impressions to the lab where it is processed. They use a material to pour into the impression this sets and makes a model of your mouth/teeth/gums. This model is used to make the denture. This is done by placing the materials to make the denture on the model and letting them set.
