Does anyone know of a dentist in the St Louis area willing to work out a payment plan of some sort for dental work any help would be greatly appreciated.

call your local United Way, they will refer you to a dentist that takes payments... good luck, and feel better.
Reply:Try a college or university where they teach dentistry. My nephew got a lot of work done cheap at one.

Oh, and vote for democrats. Then maybe we'll have a decent health plan in the future...
Reply:not sure if they have it there as well but here in holland you can also go to univercity's where they study to become dentist and you can have work done there (guided by pro's ofcourse) and they won't charge or charge way much less, start looking for medical schools around you and call to see if they have something like that there.

else just start calling some dentists in your area and just friendly ask and explain the situation

good luck
Reply:Yoo can look into a dental school (not sure if you can use your insurance though). Most dentists are getting away from allowing patients to make payments. There are companies out there that will loan money for services. Dental Fee Plan and Care Credit, but the interest can be high and if your credit is not perfect you wont get approved. You may do better at your own bank or use a low interest credit card.

Also, ask your dentist if some of the work could be postponed until next year to utilize those benefits. Have to look at your teeth as an investment in your future, since you want to have them for many more years. Sucks that dentistry is so expensive and insurance only pays a small part. Another thing is to ask the dentist for a discount if you pay up front. If the dentist is taking Care credit or Dental Fee plan he is already giving a cut to the credit company. He/she may pass the savings to you if your paying yourself.

Good luck!

I have them, they have saved me alot of money on my dental work in the past years. I know for a fact that braces are part of the dental plan. You can even sign up online. I did and it was the best thing Ive done without paying for expensive coverage.

Good Luck
Reply:The best program for the St. Louis area for dentists that will give you a payment plan, and a substantial discount off of the usual and customary fees ($6k) is LocalDentist4Less. You must use a dentist on the plan to get the benefit.
