Where can i get low cost or free dental work ?

I work very hard, but dont have any dental insurance. My teeth need major work. I would love to smile again. I work in sales and my confidence it low. My little boy passed away last summer and my self esteme is very low. It would help me a great deal to get my teeth fixed. I can make payments and would love for someone to answer my prayers. Thank you.

I once knew someone who went to dental school. There are several colleges around with them. They are always looking for patients to help educate and teach students. They charge very discounted rates. The professor is there so everything is supervised. I would try to contact one of them in your area or close to where you live. Good Luck.
Reply:My dentists allows me to pay monthly. I have no insurance either and dental work is very expensive. Just routine checks will break a man.





If you already have a dentist, ask if they work with you. Also, do you live in metropolitan area. Some places, clinics, offer reduced dental care. Also, if there is a dental school even within a couple hours drive, it would be worth the savings. (The problem with that, is that it may take you several trips for extensive work.)





You can try the dental insurances found online, but I dont think they are worth it.

Reply:Sinc3e I do not know where you live can I only suggest that you call your local health department and inquire about dental care. I live in Columbus, Ohio and had a similar problem. I called the health department which gave me a number to call, it actually is a city health department or so. They charge on a sliding scale, I have to bring in my gas/electric bill, id etc.etc., but I did land me an appointment for this month. Give it a try and call your health department and ask about dental care. Another option would be to surf the internet for affordable dental care in your area. Good Luck
Reply:First of all, my prayers are with you and your family. The death of a child can be extremely dibilating emotionally, physically and mentally. I do pray that your 'spirit' is being refreshed daily in the memory of your son and the friendship of those who love you. Secondly, the suggestion of colleges in your area that have medical/dental schools is a giant help. Also, check with Family Services agencies in your area. They have listings of medical and dental facilitators who are willing to help at a discount rate, and/or allow you to make payments.





Finally, I hope you are associated with a local community church. I have found that one of the benefits of belonging to a community of spiritual believers, many within the congregation have the abiltity to help. Your pastor or spiritual advisor should be able to help you with the dental issue as well as helping you and your family move toward a stronger position of confidence and assurance in dealing with your son's demise.
