Hello..my boyfriend and I had the same issue with are Boxer we had..and she wasnt much of a bone person..so they have this new thing for animals..it's basically a dog breath mint..(or it is)they are called yip yaps are dog use to love them!!!she would take 3 a day..you can get them at www.petnetdirect.com or any petstore.Hope we can be help to you baby!!!
Reply:Try brushing his teeth with a little kids toothbrush. Something soft so you don't hurt his gums.
Reply:Get him evaluated by a vet. Bad breath is a symptom of a larger problem. He may have dental disease or an abcess from losing puppy teeth. It could also be a gastrointestinal problem. The vet can also tell you how to brush your dog's teeth (with a proper pet toothbrush and pet toothpaste. Never use people toothpaste on a dog. Dogs swallow, people spit- It matters.)

Also, make sure you're feeding him a good quality food (Orijen, Canidae, Innova) and not a crappy supermarket brand (Iams, Purina, Beneful, etc.) Nutrition has a lot to do with how dogs smell.
Reply:He might need to get his teeth cleaned. Dogs require regular dental cleaning, about once a year.
Reply:I would first check with your vet and make sure that he doesn't have any dental issues (i.e. broken teeth, infected gums, dirty teeth).
Reply:git some doggie toothpaste it worked wonders for my 8 yr old pit. best of luck
Reply:yea,my dog is 2 months old and his breath smeells like coffe and if its little then dont try doing enything wait till hes like 10 months old and then brush his teeth with dogg toothpaste u casn find doggy tooth paste in umm, petsmart or petco
Reply:I was told by my vet. you have to brush there teeth almost has much has you would brush yours....maybe try brushing his teeth once or twice a week with the bones to see if that would help....
Reply:Talk to your vet. Maybe you need to change the food he has been eating. Bad breath is sometimes is a sign of unhealthy digestion. Does he have any tummy problems? Also brush his teeth regularly, have lots of raw-hides and chew toys around for him. But if you say that those are not working then its probably the food he is eating.
Reply:I think thats a guy thing. Don't worry hun, I to suffer.
Reply:it helps to just use a dry feed instead of canned meat etc, but on the whole, dog's breath is never going to smell great! if he will let you, brush his teeth with a dog toothpaste, and keep using the dental bones to help keep his teeth clean. good luck
Reply:At that age he shouldn't have any plaque on his teeth, but he could have a kidney infection which could cause bad breath. If not, then definitely find a better quality food which will improve the quality of his breath.

Learn about raw feeding-from someone who knows what they are doing. Raw fed dogs have very sweet breath. Dogs who eat poor quality grocery store kibble have garbage breath.

Also, if he is teething, he could have bad breath for a day or two from the bleeding. that could go away.
