Does anyone know how to get inexpensive dental work?

I know someone in need of very extensive dental work in New York and this person has very limited funds. Any ideas??

Does anyone know how to get inexpensive dental work?
FIRST HOW OLD R U GF ?.....
Reply:Become a dentist.
Reply:Look in the phone book for a local dental school or ask a local dentist what he would suggest or if he knows of a local dental school. Sometimes the wait is longer, but the prices are very affordable. Some dentists will take some money down and then payments on your dental work. You very rarely get extensive dental work done all in one day, so everytime he goes in for more dental work, he could bring another payment with him. Maybe they will work with him. Good Luck.
Reply:Your friend can get a very affordable dental plan here: www.everyonebenefits.com/LMota That's what I have and it saves a lot of money.
Reply:go to dental school if you don't mind students will do work on the teeth in New York the NYU is the best i heard and very affordable. Or go to bellevue hospital you can get it for free or low cost they go by the income but it takes about a month to get appoitment but dentists are profesionals over there go to http://nyc.gov/html/hhc/bellevue/home.ht...
Reply:It is not clear what are the procedures involved in the extensive dental work needed for this less privileged person. It is also not clear how much or what percentage of money you are ready or willing to contribute to the (noble) cause. If you are considering to foot the bill and somehow cannot afford in New York, then send this person overseas and let both of you smile broad for respective reasons. Dental care dubai tour may be of help.
Reply:Contact your local or state dental association and and see if there are any dentists who provide free or reduced cost care for low-income, disabled or senior patients.

Call your local health department and ask about health centers that provide dental care for free or on a sliding scale.

Your local United Way may also be aware of such a clinic. In some areas, you can reach them now by dialing 2-1-1 for "non-emergency information."

Go to a dental school, if there is one near you, for reduced costs.

Check http://www.toothwoman.net to see if low-cost or free dental services are available near you.

Check http://bphc.hrsa.gov and choose "Find a Health Center" to see if there is a low-cost clinic near you.

Check http://www.nfdh.org/DDS.html to see if your state has a "Donated Dental Services" program. D.D.S. is designed to locate dentists who will give free care to patients who are financially compromised due to medical problems. This is a process that will take a couple of months to get your information and then arrange for someone to see you. Not all states have D.D.S. programs.
Reply:There's a company out there that helps people who do not have and need affordable dental benefits. It includes all basic things and then surgery, crowns, even orthodontics. There's no high premiums, deductibles, co-pays, waiting periods, or anything like that at all. They can save you up to 80% on your out of pocket expenses for a very small fee every month. It could end up saving your friend several thousands $$. Try this website and you can check out the specifics and providers in your area. http://www.mybenefitsplus.com/40424269 They are wonderful. I have benefits through them as well. Hope you find what you need. Please email me if you have any questions, and I'd be happy to help you if I can. Best of luck.
