I am 29 living on a fixed income and need a lot of dental work done how can i get state aid for dental care?
U need to go to the local health department in your town and they will tell u where a dental clinic is.

Your children can get it for free. Your hubby and u may have to pay 10 bucks a visit.

They do not do oral surgury procedures but may refer u somewhere far away for that one.
Reply:Go to costaricahealthandbeauty.com, they gave me a very good service and have low cost in dental care services. Report It

Reply:Have you tried the dental schools in your area? It may take awhile to get on the schedule and they may be particular about what procedures they want to perform and in performing these procedures it may take all day...BUT...it is usually done at a very low cost.

Meharry Medical Center, School of Dentistry, 615-327-6207.

University of Tennessee, College of Denistry, 901-448-6200.

This may be worth the phone calls.

Good luck.
Reply:Call the Tennessee state dental association or the national American Dental Association. They will inform you of all options available to you. It is ridiculous how expensive out of pocket dental expenses are. I am in debt because of it. I sympathize with you.
Reply:There is not really any state aid for dental work except for children under 18. Why? Because state's are stupid. Dental work is not considered medically necessary so the state doesn't pay. The only thing you can do is check out all the local colleges and universities and see if they have any dental programs. If they do then they probably have a public dental clinic that is less expensive to go to.
Reply:If you have a local hospital that's a teaching hospital check there. See if there is a school of dentistry. Usually Student program and Resident Programs are offered and much cheapere than a Private Practice Dentist.

I don't know where you live. But in Jackson MS there is a School of Dentistry @ the University of MS Medical Center.

601-984-6050 is the student program

601-984-6081 is the resident program
Reply:GO apply for it. You have a computer to look up your local Department of social Services..
