Dental Work?

My front two teeth are wonky. Basically the right front toothe overlaps the left one a little bit, so they look bad. I'm a model and I'm sick of only having shots to the left of me (as this side makes it look as though I have no dental problems).

I also don't want braces. Please don't give me any lectures about braces or anything....all I want to know is that is it possible to have an operation or something that can sort my front teeth out?

I have also been wondering about Invisalign; any recommendations would be useful and also how much would any dental work be.

Thanks

If you don't want braces, you could always have those two teeth extracted and have a 4-unit bridge made... but that's going to the extreme. It would run you approx $3500. The 'plus' side to this is you'd have your 'perfect' smile in less than a month. The 'down' side to this is extracting two healthy teeth and prepping two others for the bridge...

If you do the Invisalign, it will take quite a while until they're straightened out...

Maybe a consultation appointment with your dentist is in order?

Best of Luck~

Reply:If you don't want braces, I would suggest Invisalign-you can take the little trays off to eat and brush your teeth.

I don't know of any surgery that can straighten the teeth out.
Reply:I'd say invisalign. An ex-boyfriend had the surgery to replace his teeth with veneers and it was painful. They have to cut your gums up then shave down your natural teeth to little stubs then place a fake tooth on. You'd have to go back every so often to have them checked for looseness- wouldn't want one to fall off and show your little stubby-creepy tooth! Good Luck!
Reply:Invisalign would have been best but for your work/modeling profile that is not going to allow you to wear them for almost 24 hours a day (except when taking food) so very necessary to see any results emerge.

The following are your other options in terms of priority:

1) Braces, dear, braces which you don't seem to like without putting much reasoning to it. Consult an orthodontist doing lingual braces, and your opinion will change. No lectures here!

2) Extractions and immediate load implants

3) Extractions and replacing with a 4 unit bridge.

Once you make an informed choice, price becomes insignificant.
Reply:A quick way to make your smile perfect is Lumineers. It will cover up the imperfection. Check out their website for more details. Good luck with your modeling career!
